Nokton is the designation given to lenses in the Voigtlander lineup with a maximum aperture of f1.5 or larger. The first Nokton was released in 1950. At the time, it was regarded as a lens that could be used for capturing images even in low light situations. In modern times with the increased sensitivity of imaging sensors, the spotlight is now on utilising very blurred bokeh at the maximum aperture for photographic expression.
Multi-Coated vs Single-Coated
Multi-coating (MC) aims for the most neutral colour reproduction possible, while single-coating (SC) reproduces classical colour tones. This lineup allows you to choose your preferred lens coating.
