The ARCA-SWISS Monoball p0+ Hybrid now features a new friction control unit. This offers more control over heavier loads or less tension with lighter loads. These choices provide added stability and improved control for fine adjustments.
Above the head's locking mechanism, Arca-Swiss has now integrated two self-locking geared segments, each of which can precisely adjust up to a range of +/- 10° in the X or Y axes. This allows the photographer to adjust or level the camera coarsely with the ball-head using the P0 locking ring, and then be able to fine tune their camera position precisely in both axes, using the MicroMetric gear driven knobs.
These mechanisms were designed so that the camera moves in an arc of a circle around the center of its position. If the nodal point is set correctly, there will be virtually no change in the position of the subject seen in the viewfinder or display. Once the device is aligned and leveled, a panoramic swivel device placed over both axes, allows full 360 ° rotation to level, without additional device adjustment.
It's the perfect solution in applications requiring fast but precise adjustments, such as for architectural, table top, macro and panoramic photography.
